May 2015 Video Game Sales Results

The NPD Group has released its retail report for the month of May. Both hardware sales and software sales were down year-over-year in May, by 18% and 25% respectively. Overall, total industry sales were down 13% to $507.6 million. PlayStation 4 was the top-selling platform in May as well as No. 1 in software sales.

The top selling games of May were as follows:

3. Grand Theft Auto V
4. Minecraft
5. Splatoon
6. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
7. NBA 2K15
8. FIFA 15
9. MLB 15: The Show
10. Super Smash Bros.
