Sega Reveals Collector’s Edition for Sonic Mania

Sega today revealed that Sonic Mania, starring Sonic in a 2D world full of new adventures, is releasing a physical Collector’s Edition. Chock-full of 90’s nostalgia, the Collector’s Edition will include, amongst other items, a 12-inch Sonic statue adorning a replicated (non-working) Sega Genesis console that plays the famous SEEGAA startup audio. The Collector’s Edition is now available for pre-order in stores or online. The standard Sonic Mania edition pre-order will come at a later date. Both editions will include a digital code for the game launching Spring 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The Sonic Mania Collector’s Edition will include a deluxe themed collector’s box; a 12-inch Sonic statue on top of a replica Sega Genesis that plays the SEEGAA startup audio when the power switch is flipped; Sega cartridge cast with a gold ring inside and a metallic collector’s card with a download code for the actual digital game. The Collector’s Edition will retail for $69.99 USD / $89.99 CAD.
