In a new Indie World Showcase presentation, Nintendo and its publishing and development partners revealed new details about 20 indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch, including four titles arriving today – Mini Motorways, Soundfall, OPUS: Echo of Starsong – Full Bloom Edition and Gibbon: Beyond the Trees. Highlights of the presentation include a first look at the noir-punk action-adventure Gunbrella from Doinksoft, as well as the debut of Another Crab’s Treasure from Aggro Crab, a soulslike adventure set in a crumbling underwater world plagued by a mysterious curse. Other games featured include ElecHead, a puzzle platformer, and Ooblets, a game about farming and collecting creatures.
During today’s Monster Hunter Digital Event, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yoshitake Suzuki provided fans with the most in-depth look at Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak yet, including a new trailer and game details. The duo unveiled three additional monsters, the new Switch Skill Swap ability, the new Follower Quests, and more information about the flagship Elder Dragon Malzeno. Finally, they revealed a new Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Nintendo Switch Pro Controller featuring Malzeno which arrives alongside the expansion when it releases for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on June 30th.
Bandai Namco is delving into the LEGO universe to bring LEGO Brawls, a family-friendly brawling game, to consoles. The game puts players in control of customizable minifigures in a multi-player brawler with levels inspired by LEGO sets. Developed by Red Games, LEGO Brawls is slated for release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in late summer 2022.
Warner Bros. Games and DC today revealed the first official gameplay of Nightwing and Red Hood in Gotham Knights, the upcoming open-world, third-person action RPG in development by Warner Bros. Games Montréal. Narrated by Game Director Geoff Ellenor, the new video debuts an extended look at both playable characters as they bring justice to Gotham City’s criminal element, while also investigating clues around the mysterious Court of Owls. In this gameplay walkthrough, each hero’s distinct fighting style and open-world traversal abilities are on full display, from Nightwing’s acrobatic combat and aerial glider to Red Hood’s twin firearm skills and leaping capability.
Gotham Knights is scheduled to launch on October 25th on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Starting today, Gotham Knights will be available for pre-order on all launch platforms via the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam and Epic Games Store.
